About the Brand

Well known for its refined nonchalance, plays on various proportions with textured fabrications and novelty knitwear, combining structural cuts juxtaposed against soft draping, the ANN YEE brand is a visually provocative womens’ wear ready-to-wear line.

A seamless blend of sophistication with the perfect amount of downtown New York edge, ANN YEE’s signature style is an architectural mix of proportions that often plays with volume and pushes the boundaries of traditional fashion. Each piece is distinct, yet women can easily integrate them into their own personal closets.

Yee urges her consumers to transcend the conventional boundaries and limitations of everyday dressing with customizable pieces that can be carried from day to night and through her strong advocacy on the art of layering.

The interplay of bright colors against a muted palette, exaggerated shapes and innovative silhouettes, luxurious fabrics and sumptuous knitwear are just a few of the signature elements that can come to be expected each season from this inventive brand.

Each season also features a unique and interesting array of inspirations and artists; the brand incessantly draws from and collaborates with other creative resources to create more than just clothes, but memorable Art.

The brand has been featured in publications such as Women’s Wear Daily, Style.com, Elle.com, Vogue Italia, Vogue UK, Paper Magazine, Nylon and more. ANN YEE was chosen as one of Gen Art’s Fresh Faces in Fashion for Spring 2012.

About the Designer

Stemming from a desire for unique clothing and inspiration garnered during trips to her parents’ native Hong Kong, Ann Yee’s distinctive wardrobe combinations set her apart at a young age.

Originally from South Lyon Michigan, Ann Yee interned with American designer Jill Stuart and, in London, with acclaimed independent designer Ebru Ercon while receiving her B.S. in Fashion Design from Philadelphia University. Yee moved on to New York to design knitwear for prestigious

labels such as Barney’s, LaROK, Elizabeth and James, Alice + Olivia, and played an integral part in the launch of contemporary knitwear label, DUFFY. Working with knits only bolstered her innate understanding of the constitution of fabric and the subtle art of draping.

With her customizable pieces and signature affinity for proportion and volume, Ann Yee consistently creates collections that are versatile yet completely distinct.
